Dances Spice Gay Program German Ends Festivities K. A. Tea Dance And Cotillion Hop Added To Schedule Adding color to the annual fair week classics, University organizations will stage a series of danccs today and tomorrow climaxed by the opening German tomorrow night. Besides the German club, the Cotillion club, the Kappa Alpha fraternity and the Gym danccs are to be given. The Cotillion club will have its dance between the hours of 6 and 8 p. in. at Lake View, following the freshman game. The officers are: John Gregg McMaster, president; Capers Gambrcll, vice-prcsidcnt; Bob Hemphill, secretary; and Park Jenkins, treasurer. Following the varsity game the K. A. fraternity will give a dance from I 5:30 to 8:30 at Ridgewood. ( A spccial K. A. waltz for the mem- | hers of the fraternity 'and their dates . will be presented. Buster Spann and his Gamecocks will furnish the music. Chaperones are: Dean and Mrs. J. Rion McKissick, Dr. and Mrs. Frank Owens, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas McKay, Dr. and Mrs. T. M. Dubosc, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ehrlich, Dr. and , Mrs. Havilah Babcock, and Mr. and , Mrs. Talley Elliott.. , The German will be danced Thursday night at the University gym from ; 10:00 to 2:00. The hall is being dccoratcd by Susan Guignard Sparks. The figure will be led by the officers of the club and their dates. The officers of the club arc: Harold Minson, president; David Childs, vice- 1 president; Bob Hemphill, secretary; | Charlton Horgcr, treasurer; James '< Black, senior leader; and Cuthbert Prevost, junior leader. 1 Cabinet Stages Dance Tonight The Carolina-Clemson dance will be danced at the Gym tonight from nine 'til two. This is an annual affair which always proceeds the CarolinaClemson football game and students of both colleges are looking forward to the event. The Clcmson Jungalecrs will furnish the music. The Social Cabinet sponsors the dance. Due to the fact that the Cabinet was left fifty-seven dollars in debt from last year, they have found it necessary to charge $1 admission. The money made on this dance will pay for the sponsors' flowers and candy. At eleven-thirty a grand march will be led by the chairman, John Mozingo, and his date, Happy DuBosc. Assistant leaders in the march will be the other two members of the Cabinet and their dates, Chick Brown and Elizabeth Wiley, and Arthur Sams and Ruby Dabbs. Home economics students at the University of Texas arc offered a course in home designing. Eighty-eight of the 192 Rhode scholars in 1933 were from the United States. This is being given by the newly elected Social Cabinet. The Clcmson JungaIcers will furnish the music. John Mojingo is chairman of the cabinet. Other members arc Arthur Sains and Chick Brown. The German club will have its dance Thursday night, after the CarolinaClcmson game. Buster Spann will furnish the music. It will begin at ten and last 'til two. Susan Guignard Sparks is in chargc of the decorations. Other dances arc the cotillion this afternoon at Lake View and the K. A. tea dance tomorrow afternoon at Ridgcwood club. S. A. E. Will Entertain Thursday night, before the German, Sigma Alpha Epsilon will have a party. The actives, alumni, pledges and their dates will attend. S. A. E. is also planning to have a dance Friday night.
