Keep Faith
"Patronize the advertisers in The
Carolinian and The Gamecock" is the
cry of the campaign now in progress
on the University campus according
to a policy instituted by the business
staffs of the two publications.
Students are asked to sign pledges
to support, whenever possible, the advertisers
in The Gamecock and The
Carolinian and to place these slips in
boxes at the canteen, Davis college,
and other stragetic points on the
campus. A large number of students

The movement was considered nec
cssary because, due to the reduce^
size of the student body, the funds fo
the publications have been seriousl;
decreased making them more depen
dent upon advertising. The busincs
departments think that if this need i
placed before the students they wil
read the advertisements and restric
their buying to the stores whose name
appear in their campus publications
Practically every commodity ncede<
by the college student is included ii
these advertisements And they cai
easily make this discrimination.
