The Damas club initiated about forty
new members on Tuesday, Wednesday,
and Thursday of this week. The comi- a*
cally dressed initiates were assembled at v
the wall at noon on Wednesday and P1
Thursday to perform the commands of F
the initiation committee. v<
The new members were warmly welcomed
by the club at the regular meeting
on Tuesday afternoon. On Wednesday
and Thursday they were required to
jfci wear a tuck-in-skirt upside down and
Hk tied around the waist with a sash. To m
add to this charming effect, they were
ordered to wear one silver shoe and one sc
< galosh, mismatcd stockings of different
* shades, a pink ribbon around one ankle
and a red ribbon around the other. The si
- costume was completed with a rhinestone
necklace, one long earring, a ribbon tied
around the head with the bow in back,
X, and a beret perked <in the front of the
H head. In their hands they carried a wash
cloth, a cake of soap, and a soup spoon.
Every time they pased a member of
the Damas Club, the initiates had to fall a'
on their knees and say: "Have mercy on
me, meek moron, O mighty master 1"
2- The following girls were added to the l'<
original list of new members: Virginia
Guerry, Mary Lawton, Cooper Dixon, V
Ruth DuRant, Sue Jackson, Emily Donald,
Elizabeth Marrett, Agnes Lockman, tl:
and Wilma Bowen.
At the Damas meeting held last TuesI
day, the date set for the first dance was
Friday, December the fifth. Jane Gibbes
was elected the new junior leader.

If all reports are true they will truly

at the game next Thursday. A special ^
cheering section has been reserved for the m'
girls wearing white and from the num- a*
her of pep meetings on foot we have rea- 'K
son to expect some good yelling.
All the girls expecting to sit in the Wl
section especially reserved for co-eds are
requested to wear white. White "fluffers"
similar to the ones used last year will be so
distributed to the white cheering section. m
Those girls wearing dark clothes will be
compelled to sit separately, lower down fr
