MARRIAGES (Continued from Page 5) The bride is the attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Hedgepath. She has many friends here, who regret that her marriage will take her to another state. Mr. and Mrs. Gause will make their home in Clarkton, N. C. RICHBOURG?GETTYS Miss Clara Belle Richbourg and Charles C. Gettys were married on December 19 at the bride's country home, "Shady Dale," near Davis Station. C. D. Hardin was best man and Miss Bertha Stokes the bridemaid. The bridegroom is an alumnus of the University of South Carolina having graduated in the class of '29. The bride was a student at Columbia College last year. The couple will live at 906 Meadow St., Columbia. FOSTER?BOWMAN Coming as a surprise to their many friends was the marriage of Miss Julia Belle Foster to L,eRoy Sumter Bowman of Charleston, which was solemnized at the home of the bride's parents on South Main Street Wednesday, January 1. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Foster and she was until her marriage a student at the University of South Carolina and a member of the Chi Omega sorority. The bridegroom is a son of the late Sumter Bowman of Charleston and an alumnus of the University of South Carolina and Georgia Tech. He is now president of the South Carolina Engineers Associates.
