ARTICLE I
Members
Section 1?All regular matriculates
of and candidates for degrees in the
University shall be members of the
Student Body.
ARTICLE II
Officers and Elections
Section 1?The officers of this body
shall be President, Vice-President,
Secretary and Treasurer; the President
to be elected from the Senior
Academic Class, the Vice-President
from the Senior Law class; the Secretary
and Treasurer from the Junior
Law or Junior Academic Class.
Section 2?The Student Body shall
have as a governing board a Student
Council to be composed of fifteen (15)
members to be constituted as follows:
The President of the Student Body,
the Vice-President of the Student
Body, the presidents of the four Academic
classes, the presidents of tHfcthree
Law classes, the president of
the Inter-Club Association, and one
(1) from the Co-ed Association, and
one (1) member from each of the four
literary societies, such members to be
definitely elected for that purpose.
Section 3?Each class shall elect its
officers in the spring for the following
year on the day four (4) weeks, next,
preceding Commencement Day, elections
to be effective with the opening
of the succeeding session; provided,
however, that all classes save the rising
Senior Class, may hold their elections
within two (2) weeks after the
day fixed by this section.
Section 4?Each class shall have the
following officers: President, VicePresident,
Secretary and Treasurer,
and Historian.
Section 5?The Freshman class shall
at this election elect two (2) of its
members, one to be a co-ed, to be
members of the Honor Committee.
The Freshman Class shall elect its
officers on the sixth Saturday follow- |
ing their matriculation. This election
shall be conducted by the Student
Council, and shall be by secret'ballot.
Section 6?The Freshman Law class
shall elect its officers on the fourth
^Saturday following date of matricula.cation.
It shall at this time also elect
't3 one (1) of its members to be a member
of the Honor Committee.
<3 Section 7?The Inter-Club Associa
tion and the Co-ed Association shall
. hold their elections in the spring with??

c5> Section 8?The term of office shall
cJ be from the opening of the session
thru the final Commencement Day.
. Section 9?The Chairman of the
Student Council shall call a meeting
of the council for the purpose of making
nominations for upper-class members
of the Honor Committee. The
above meeting shall be held during the
third week in April. The Council shall
nominate two (2) men and two (2)
co-eds from each of the three upper
academic classes and two (2) men
from each of the upper Law classes.
Within a week after the nominations
have been made they shall be announced
and for three days following
such announcement, the student
body at large shall nominate as many
additional persons as it sees fit. Within
a week after nominations are closed
they shall be voted upon. There shall
be elected from the aforesaid nominees
one man and one co-ed from each
of the three upper Academic classes
and one man from each of the two
upper Law classes. The members so
elected shall themselves elect a chairman
for the Honor Committee from
their number. Student body members
entering as freshmen at or after
the beginning of the second semester
shall be disqualified to vote in this
election.
Section 10?On the day six weeks
next preceding commencement the
president of the rising Academic class,
the President of the rising Senior Law
class, the President of the rising
Junior Academic class and the President
of the rising Junior Law class
each shall call a meeting of their respective
classes. The purpose of the
rising Senior class (Academic) meeting
shall be to make nominations for
the presidency of the student body;
the purpose of the rising Senior Law
class meeting shall be to make nominations
for vice-president of the student
body; the purpose of the rising
Junior Law and academic class meetings
shall be for each to make nominations
for Secretary and Treasurer
of the student body. All nominations
shall be handed, on the day made, to
the chairman of the Student Council,
who shall announce them to the student
body the following day. For
three days following this announcement,
nominations may be made in
writing from the student body, provided
five men second the nomination.
Within three days after nominations
come to a close the Student
Council shall conduct an election for
the above officers by secret ballot.
Every-one of the student body shall
have the right to vote in said election.
In the event no candidate shall receive
a majority at the said election,
such additional elections as may be
necessary shall be conducted by the
Student Council at three-day intervals
following the first election. This election

ARTICLE III
Duties of Officers
Section 1?It shall be the duty of
the president to preside over all meetu
student body, to announce
the business before the assembly in
the order in which it is to be acted
upon, to inform the assembly when
necessary, on points of order or practice
pertinent to pending business.
1 he president shall call meetings of
the student body at such times as he
deems necessary without authorization
from anyone. Also any ten members
of the student body, upon signing
a petition to the president to call
a student body meeting, shall have
the right to call such meeting if the
president refuses to do so
Section 2?It shall be the duty of
the vice-president to preside in the
absence of the president; in the absence
of the president; in the absence
of both the president and the

shall devolve upon the secretary and 1
treasurer.
Section 3?It shall be the duty of
the Secretary and Treasurer to take
and preserve legible minutes of all
otudent Body assemblies, to preserve
and dispense such funds as may come
into his hand.
Swtfon 4?It shall be the duty of
the Student Council to conduct all
necessary correspondence relating to
the Student Council or to the interests
of any member thereof. It shall be
the duty of the Student Council to
transact all business which does not
by its nature necessitate the action of
'J|e Student Body in assembly. It
shall be the duty of the Student Council
to conduct, by secret ballot, all
elections in which every member of
the student body is qualified to cast
his or her ballot; and it shall be the

ARTICLE IV t
Honor Principle and Organization
Section 1?The Student Body takes
it for granted that each student is a
gentleman and a man of honor until
he proves himself otherwise.
It is the duty of each student to report
such infractions of the Honor
Jrrinciple as came to his notice. The
duty of judicial action upon infractions
of the Honor Principle rests
only upon the Honor Committee.
Section 2?The Honor Committee
shall be composed of eleven (11) members,
who shall sit in judgment upon
all breaches reported.
Section 3?It shall be necessary for
at least eight members to sit in judgment
upon each case. No person shall
m any way serve as a member of the
.Honor Committee unless reRularlv
elected thereto.
Section 4?Upon any trial, a majority
vote plus one of the members
assembled shall be necessary for conviction.
-Section 5 Any student convicted
shall have right to appeal to the Student
Body.
Section 6?All proceedings shall be
conducted in secret.
