Next Sunday evening the Deputa
tion Team from Columbia Theological
Seminary in Atlanta will have charge
of the regular Y. M. C. A. service
in the chapel. The Seminary quartet
will also accompany the team and
render several selections at that time.
A very interesting program will be
given and all students are urged to
be present.
The State Officers' Training Con
ference of the Y. M. C. A. will be held
Friday, Saturday and Sunday of this
week at Twin Lakes, a few miles
from Columbia. Drufus Griffin of
Carolina is president of the Confer
ence.
From two to six delegates from
each college in the state will be pres
ent, and a very interesting program
has been arranged.
Among the leading men that will be
present at the Conference are T. P.
Lanham of the state Y. M. C. A, com
mittee, Dr. John McSween, president
of Presbyterian college and C. B.
Lucas, student work secretary of the
South, from Atlanta.
An ice cream supper was held last
evening at Flinn Hall for all members
of the Bible Discussion Groups with
perfect attendance and all members of
the class in tenements one and two,
which won the contest by having the
best score.

LIBRARIANS
The South Carolina Library Asso
ciation met in Columbia on April 4th
and 5th. All meetings were held in
the University Library, which by the
way, was much admired both for its
great beauty and for the wonderful
improvements in modern equipment
and efficiency recently made. Lunch
was served to the librarians in Flinn
Hall, April 5th, by the University.
R. Beverly Herbert, of the Colum
bia Bar and director of the Columbia
Library was elected president for the
next year, and Miss Helen Torrence
of the University Library staff was
elected vice-president.
