The program was in charge of the Thornwell Club which is composed of those who intend to make some form of Christian service their life work. Mr. Younginer's theme was that it is not church going, creed, or doctrines that makes a Christian, but the inner experience of salvation that comes through knowing in a personal way, God through Jesus Christ His Son. At the present time tenement 20, directed by John Youngi ner is leading. Tenement 10, lead by Scott is second. Visitors are invited provided they do not come from the ter ritory of some other class. Other classes that are close to the top are tenements 12, 18 and 1. The classes have voted on whether they want a reception or whether they want a feed. All the votes are not in at the present time, but as soon as the remainder of the classes make known their decision it will be anot:nced, the affair to be held after Christmas. use Damas Club Gives 1 Winter Dance Mon. The gymnasium was decorated witl pink streamers hung from the ceiling The Gamecocks who played for the danc were seated uider a canopy at the rea1 of the hall. The features of the dance was th+ Grand march which was lead by Mis Elizabeth Jones and Clarkeson McDow a last year's graduate, now a resident of Charlotte, N. C. Sandwiches and coffee were served throughout the evening. Future Dccentralizcr of Cities," etc. Canddates will be judged 30 per cent on content of their articles, and 70 percent on their qualifications to do justice to the scholarships. The winner, if he qualifies, will be employed in the engineering or some other department of the Alexander Aircraft factory.
