Most universal song 'bout this time
o' the year: "I can't give you nothing
but love."
While out looking 'm over the other
r4ight we ran into one of our friends
standing on the corner looking like a
plate of hash waiting for some place
to be dumped. Maybe he was just a
few jumps ahead of the sheriff. But
anyhow, he had the following to say:
"Certainly h9pe the girl friend isn't
expecting anything this Xmas. She
shouldr t, if she possesses the sense
God promised a Jaybird, knowing the
results of Clemson and Citadel
game."
Notice to the ladies men: 'Bout
time to start 'kicking, don't you think?
Along with its "Black-Sheep" every
home has its broken vases. Do you
get what I mean?
A man is as old as he makes out
awsl a woman is older than she makes
up.
If you indulge in promiscuous os
culation it is best to look before you
lip.
Even the little light bulb requires
some kind of contact before getting
all "lit up."
Sure the world's getting worse: A
man can't "cuss" in a barber shop any
more.
We can't give our opinion of a girl's
school-parlor date-never had one,
thank Heavens.
No use, I've quit trying to argue
with women. They out figure me
every time.
Heredity-Somethir every father
believes in until his offspring starts
acting like a blamed idiot. ,
"You wouldn't understand if I told
you," said the lovesick youth as he
leaned against the cow.
Some dresses are not so bad for the
shape they're on.
Just because you were a rubber in a
Turkish Bath doesn't prove that you'd
make a good bouncer.
After listening to a few of 'em talk,
we've come to the conclusion that
womerx do not dress so much to at
tract the men as to aggravate other
girls.
Well, it may not be love but why do
you keep looking at those furniture
catalogs?
Well, women's minds should be
cleaner-changed oftener.
Then there was the Scotch laddie
who gave his girl the negative when
she asked for a picture.
He is about ready to start cussing,
smoking, going with the girls and
other very bad habits, if he has de
cided that the little negro "Smoky Joe"
isn't about the most wonderful corn
panlon. he could possibly have.
Then, there was the case of the
lady who told her doctor that she
had a little wart which she wanted
removed-he direCted her to the di
vorce lawyer's office.
Maybe they don't want us to know
it, but It Is a safe bet, they apprecIate
our wanting to.
There's lot of fellows who don't
understand a girl who has Ideals-so
few girls have *em nowadays.
The most pitiful sight of the week:
The Scotchman who had just received
i notice of a collect telegram. You
