When idols develop clay feet, there
is bound to be a lot of dirt.
One hears a great deal of the de
generation of the younger generation
but could the purveyors of such thoughts
have been in the vicinity of Davis col
lege one night last week they would have
ceded the fact that there is still hope.
There, in all their pristine lovliness,
were the sylph--like forms of some eight
coeds and an equal number of male stu
. dents. The moonlight shone down on
the sixteen figures, alternating as to
sex, tripping around a circle, palms in
palms, singing softly 'and sweetly th,
stirring tones of Ring-around-the-rosy.
This hardened observer wiped a surrep
titious tear away from moist optics and
left the scene with a wondrous feeling
of "Bless you, my children."
And the critics say that students have
gone to pot, that they are hardened in
corruption, that the" swear, drink and
tell off-color stork or the sabbath, that

few that would object, other than those
that habitually object at everything.
The railroads, the steam ships, and
the air liners have all recognized this
n.eed of their atrons. Would it be too
'much amiss for libraries to fall into
