whatever. An alumus of the University
sent in a timely contribution last year,
and patrons frequently help with con
tributions of stamps, small sinns of
money, books, magazinest et cetera.
The Division also derives some revenue
from the disposal of surplus equipment
accumulated during former years.
"It has always been my notion," said
the Director in an interview, "'that if
people can't come to college, the col
lege ought to go to the people, at least
as far as may be practicable. That is
especially true of a State University,
which ought to be the center of radia
tion and a sort of distributing house of
ideas for the entire state. It seems to
me that an Extension Division is one
of the most effective means a state in
stitution has of making itself accessible
to the state at large,-that's why it is

schools. The staff this year will draw
even the borders, work that is generally
done .by professional artists, in order
that the spirit of the theme will stand
out on every page.
Now that curfew has rung on appli
cation for degrees,- Charles Foster,
senior editor, will announce by letter
to seniors within the next few days, the
form for senior honors and -write-ups.
As the senior list is not complete un
til all applications for degrees are in,
seniors who have not had their pictures
made will be given a chance to have this,
done before the holidays. No seniors
who have failed to apply ft , degree
will be included in the senior section.
Within a few days group pictures of
classes, organizations and schools will
be taken, and students are asked to
watch The GAMECOCK and the bulle
tin boards for information concerning
the time and place. Freshmen are warn
ed in advance that they will not be al

The loan was made on the condition
that the library have the table repaired,
and as soon, as possible in the future
have a brass plate inscribed that the
table is being loaned by the Euphradian
Literary Society. The cost for repair
ing the table will be about $75.. And
if the society ever sees need to with
draw the loan, it will pay the library
the amount it paid in repairing the
table.
