Wintry breezes and lowering skies

continue until it is decided by elimin-i

played jam-up football. Davis, Wofford
and Foy gained through the line,

Tenement 2-3, Nothing; 11-12, Twelve
Rivers enacted the leading role in th.
dramatic twelve to nothing triumph of
tenement 11 and 12's light and inex
perienced team over the strong aggre
gation from tenements 2 and 3.
Throughout the game, the heavier
backs of the Pinckney eleven were abbz
to make first downs with regularity buL
could not supply the final punch in the
face of the .desperate and nearly frien
zied rushing of the DeSaussure lines
men, Gasque and Meeks being the
leaders.
The winners scored in the first hali
by a steady marc hdown the field. In
the second period the Pinckney backs
bade fair to smash their way to a touch
down, but the tide turned, and 11 and 12
took~the ball on their own forty yard
mark. Ashley caught an 18 yard pas.;,
and another heave on the following
play netted 25 yards. Rivers slipped
through on a beautiful touchdown dasn.
Rivers intercepted a pass in midfield
and ran to the one yard line before he
was tackled, as the last half drew to a
close. Four plays were thrown without
material gain, and the ball went over.

Caps to Keep as
Souvenirs
The K.S.K. held a special meeting
Monday night for the purppse of check
,ing up on the Wade Hampton memorial
fund. The collections were much bet
ter than expected.
Another of the main topics that was
discussed' was the freshman caps. The
caps of the first order have been receiv
ed aqd sold. Due to the fact that so
many of the upperclassmen bought one
to keep as a relic, all freshmen have not
,yet been supplied. However, in order
that every freshman have a cap, another
order has been made and the caps are
expected within a few days. Since it is
necessary that every freshman have a
cap, and wear it, it is requested of the
upperclassmen that they defer buying one
until all freshmen have been supplied.
after which they will have an opportu
nity to get oe.
