FACULTY MAKES RESPONSE
During Campaign Workers Had
Lunch at Fli6n HaA
Each Day
Last Saturday the annual finance
campaign of the Y.M.C.A. came to a
formal close. A. IG. Iafer, treasurer,
has announced that is was fairly suc
cessfuL Practically as much money
has been paid and pledged as was
raised last year.
The campus was divided into general
divisions with a captain over each, the
captains being: A. 0. Kafer, Ralph
Lewis, and A. R. Godshall. These men
chose tenement representatives, whose
duty it was to see every person living
in their respective tenements and give
them an opportunity to contribute to
the campaign. The response of the
students varied in the different tene
ments, but the majority gave some
thing.
Members of the faculty responded in
fine style, according to Mr. Kafer. They
were seen by certain of their own
number who kindly agreed to help with
the work.
Beginning last Thursday at nSoo
with the opening of the campaign, 'the
workers met at Flinn Hall each day for
lunch, inspiration, and reports. A close
checkup was made at each meeting so
that the workers might know how far
they were from the goal; the goal be
ing the amount needed to carry out the
plans 'of the Y for the coming year.
The budget was printed in a small
pamphlet distributed by the Y on the
campus Immediately preceding the
campaign.
Some cleanup work remains to be
done. The treasurer states that it will
be finished soon and that the total
amount raised will be a' satisfactory
figure.
