Provid Music for In
formal Affair
"Open House" on Thursday night
added another event to the list that has
been given primarily for the freshmen
co-eds and new girls this week. This
night is eagerly looked forward to by
both the girls and boys 4s the night
when everybody is at liberty to talk to
everybody else as long as he pleases
until someone interrupts.
The boys were instructed to write their
names and pin them on their lapels, and
since the girls had previously labeled
themselves, formality was heedlessly
thrown aside, the merriment increasing
in ardor, if not in order.
The ever dependable Wilbur Zeigler
and Paul Rich furnished musicthrough
out the evening to gladden the hearts
and feet of the big number who wanted
to dance. Eleven oclock came quickly,
but the night was not without its effect,
for, although the boys were reluctant to
say good night, they delighted in the
thought of other nights, and on numer
ous occasions was heard, "Whatcha doin
tomorrow night ?" Which all goes to
prove "Open House" night is one affair
we couldn't ever afford to lose.

The University is glad to announce
the completion of the new co-ed athletic
field, which is directly opposite the Wo

first time this fall, hockey occupying the
fall season, soccer the winter, and pro

advantages that the new field brings, the
gym teachers are looking forward to the
most successful year ever. Since there
is every convenience, it is hoped that

interested will form a hockey club. Miss
