Wauchope Club to Enforce Old Rule Meeting Is Held at Home of Miss Claudia Cantey Friday Afternoon At the last meeting of the Wauchope club, held Friday at the home of Miss Claudia Cantey, it was decided to en force the rule that any one who is ab sent from three consecutive meetings without a good excuse be excluded from membership. Henceforth, a new feature of the programs will be a guest invited to rea'd something before the club. The night of meeting has been changed to Thurs day instead of Friday. There was no program Friday night, as the entire hour was devoted to a discussion of plans for the new term. After the business was completed Kershaw Walsh entertained the club with se lections on the guitar. - U.S.C. - Dean Irene Dillard Entertains with Tea Apartment Is Scene of Reception for Senior and Graduate Girls Dean Irene Dillard entertained in formally from 4 until 6 o'clock yester day afternoon at her apartment on Green street with a tea in honor of the senior and graduate girls in the Uni versity. The living room and dining room were abloom with silver vases of jon quils and daffodils. Black coffee, tea, and cakes were served. Bridge and music were enjoyed during the after noon. - U.S.c. New Men Initiated by Cavalier Club At a meeting of the Cavaliers club Wednesday night, three new men were ushered in with all the ingeniously un pleasant ceremony that could be de vised by resourceful young Americans. The trio, or what was left of it, was afterward informed that Bill Boyd was largely responsible for their inise ries. The three men, L. L. Foster, W. W. Sdigler, and W. B. Moore, may have been seen about the campus wearing, for the last week, ancient cavalry sab ers as long as the sufferers themselve. U. S. C. Athlas Elect Two on Interclub Council The Athia club met Wednesday after noon at the Rembert House. Misses Florence Parker and Dorothy Poat were elected to represent the club in the new girls' interclub council. We are here -- cor C -- a HOPE-DAVI Discussion Groups Lead by Professors Senior Member of Faculty to Be Heard in Chapel As One Number i of Series The discussion groups, organized last Tuesday night, have begun in a most promising manner and there is every reason to expect the results to be of paramount importance to all taking part in them. The groups are under the leadership of professors who are devoting a great deal of interest and time to the groups. Each Sunday night there will be a speaker at the Y chapel service, who will speak upon the subject to be dis cussed in the groups. Sunday night, Dr. Patterson Ward law, of the School of Education, will speak at' the service in the chapel, which begins promptly at 7 o'clock. Due to the holiday, the d'scussion groups will be held on Wednesday, in stead of Tuesday. - U.S.C. - Y Cabinet Meeting Flinn Hall Monday Members Decide to Hold Regular Meeting Eevery Thursday Evening The Y cabinet held a meeting in Flinn hall on Monday, February 14. At this meeting various matters were brought up dealing with the work of the Y. It was decided to hold a meeting every Thursday at 7:00 p. in. until the end of the term. It is hoped that by these meetings colser touch will be maintained with each group and that a new impetus will be started for the next year. -U.S.C. History Club Meets Davis College Friday The Undergraduate history club will hold a meeting Friday night at 7:30 n Davis college. At this meeting, officers and new members will be elected. Men bersh'p is based upon scholarship and popularity. A grade of at least B is required and a unanimous vote of the club. All members are urged to be present. - U.S.C. - Important Meeting of Hermes Monday The Hermes club will hold its regu lar business meeting Monday night at 7 o'clock. One and Two Pants) t -- S COMPANY Hermes Club Moves into New Quarter Gets Room on Third Floor o Harper Adjoining Euphra dian Hall One of the latest additions amon the social clubs of the campus is th new -Hermies club room located on th third floor of Harper college adjoininf the Euphradian society hall. It has been furnished with a daven port, chairs, several card tables, a vie trola, and other pieces of furniture. This chlb room affords a great deal o pleasure for the members and thei friends. The officers of the club are: John 1 Pate, president; C. D. McDaniel, trea surer; Kenneth Grimsley, secretary and W. J.
