PLAY WILL BE PRESENTED BY CO.EDS SOON Girls Glee Club Will Make Debut of Season With Snappy Musical Comedy "PRET'Y CINDERELLA" Plaits Being Made to Take Girls on Tour of Lower Part of the State The Co-Ed Glee club which had so much success last year with its musi cal comedy, "Say, Arabella," is ready to make its debut for this season. The pfogram will be a three-act musical comedy, entitled "Pretty Cinderella.' The individuality, with, snap and pep, will make this even more brilliant than the former success. The girls are due much credit not only for writing their own play, but for directing it. The play is entirely ori ginal, and scenes will be laid in Amer ica, with dashing, striking flappers; Paris and its demi-mondes; Italy and Spain with their dark eyed Senoritas,' and Japan with coy maidens. Tryouts and practices have been go ing on for weeks, and some of the most attractive girls of the campus have fin ally been chosen for the cast. Frances Monte'th, violianist, and Margaret All, saxaphonist. The entire trip has not been sche duled yet. One appearance will be at the Rotary club, the sixteenth of No v'ember. On the 22 the play will be presented at the Town Theatre, the 23, at P. C. A bus will again be chartered to carry the girls to the lower part of the state and the comedy will be shown in Manning, the 26, and at the Citadel the 27. - BEAr IURMAN - FURMAN WILL MEET CAROLINA SATURDAY (Continued from page one ) in the S.I.A.A. fight. This boy can kick a field goal from any point inside the 50 yard line. "Mac" Fairley, end, is playing a good game in his first varsity year. Conquerors of V.P. I. are Ready The Purple wind doesn't have a corner on the "conquering" stunt. The Virginia papers are still filling their sport sheets with accounts of Caro lina's swift passing attack. Sammy Burke, himself a son of Virginia who received more publicity than any other Carolina player from the game, has a bad ankle. He will probably be in con dition to start against Furman. Most of the practice week. has been taken up in perfecting the plays which beat Virginia Tech. The question now is, will the "con querors of Georgia" or the "Conquerors row? Sunday morning. Why ring the chapel bell so when it should have been resting? It was only 10:30 and those in the dormitories, thrusting up the windows, also heard the roar of a deep bass drum. Quickly the word was passed around the "Birds" were returning from Richmond on the 11:05 train. The group about the chapel kept growing, as one after another late sleeper broke his Sunday morning "snooze" in order to welcome home the team that crushed as a cannon ball into V. P. I. Gobbler's fast-flyer for a 19 to 0 victory, which caused one of the biggest upsets in the football "dope" of this season. At the station the "regiment" was met by a large group of students, pro fessors, and Columbians, who had as sembled in order to welcome home the team from its most spectacultr victory of the year. The chief topic outside of the team and its recent victory was the outcome of the Carolina-Furman game. The train soon came into view and as the giant locomotive and its long string of cars pulled into the station, there burst from the crowd such cheers of welcome that the noise of the train became as nothing. As the team began "falling off" the rear pullman the cheers increased, and there was a rush to shake hands with, compliment, and relieve of his baggage, each member of the team. Among the last to leave the car bear.ng the team were Governor Mc Leod, Acting-Ppresident L. T. Baker and Coach Bocock.
