Deputation Team Is
Planning Campaign
Invited to Edgefield and Ridge
way-Program Already
Mapped Out
Because of the successful work that
has been done in the past few years by
the Deputation teams from theUniver
sity there have been several applications
for teams this spring. Edgefield has
requested that a team be sent there to
conduct evangelical work over one week
end. In addition to that, application has
been received from Ridgeway.
The "Y" is planning to :end a team
to both of these places and has several
other places in prospect. The only thing
that is lacking is a suitable number of
men. Any men who are interested in
this sort of "Y" work can find out more
about it if they will see R. G. Bell or
Sam Burke any morning at the "Y"
office.
The University is desirous of keeping
ip the good work that has been done
by these teams and the sooner that the
men get their names in the sooner can
a better program of activities be worked
out.

Friendship Theme of
Sunday Night Talk
Scott and Bell Make Short Talks
On the Best Things
of Life
"Friendship" was the theme of the
talk by Cecil Scott at the Sunday night
meeting of the Y.M.C.A. He said that
he thought this was one of the most
important things in the Christian life
and that the Bible substantiated his
statement, where it said, "Let us be
friends in Christ!"
Mr. Bell, secretary of the "Y," then
made the closing address and talked on
the same thought that Scott had. He
talked of the help in prayer and the
hope for satisfaction in the future life
that every one looks forward to whether
he has a definite religion or not.

Smoking among college women has
become such a well-established custom
at Barnard College that rules for the
purpose of adjusting instead of pro
hibiting it are being considered by the
college authorities. The rules on how,
when, and where to smoke are design
ed to guide college girls in the delica
cies of the art and to prevent any de
sires to experiment with cigars and
pipes.
A super-library, a book tower no
less than one hundred and ninety-two
feet high and eighty-five feet square is
to rest within two years on the campus
of Yale. It will cost $6,000,000, and
will house eventually 5,000,000 volumes.
The new library is to be known as the
Sterlin Memorial Library, "the largest
and best planned in the world," and
will admit two thousand readers at a
time.-Gonzaga Bulletin.
Asked why they came to college 100
Oklahoma University co-eds said they
came to get an education; 15 came be
cause the home town was too dead in
the winter; 26 came to enlarge their
circle of friends; 22 came to learn the
'Charleston" and to have a good time.
We must compliment the University
women; 63 truthful women out of a
group of 163 is certainly an average
to be proud of.
