pus who are not aware of the fact that
the GAMECOCK ha,s a Colstitutioll.
Many imembers of the staff are ignor
ant of their duites. To help them
and the sudents it is printed below.
With the above intention thlo, it is
hoped that some very needed and imi
portant changes can he made in the
conistitutioni real soon that may do
iich towards pushing the GANIEcOCK
forward. With that intention ill view
it is also being published so that the
members of the societies may become
familiar with the contents aind be able
to vote advisedly oil tile proposed
changes when ,ithey come before the
joint session later ill the terml.

Section I. Tie naille of this organ
ization siall be tile G.uneCocK.
Section 2. It shall be controlled and
operated by the Clariosophic and Eu
phradian Lierary Societies of the Un
iversity of South Carolina.

Section 1. The terls of oflice of the
GANioCCK shall be two ill nmer, tihe
first begillning with tile opeinig of the
school session and c(littilluing 1untii tile
first of February; the second shall he
gin with the close of tile fir:,t term and
continue until tile close of the school
session in Julne.
Sectiv 2. The staff of this publica
tion shall consist of an Edflitor-ill-chief,
two Assistant Editors. a Husiness Man
ager, two Assistant Business Managers,
a Circulation Nlanager, and four As
sistant Circulation Managers. The Al
unii Associatio-n shall elect ain ahimnii
editor. The following organizations
shall elect representatives uipon, th
staff: The Y. M. C. A.. the Clario
sophic Society, the Eiplhradian SIciety
the Co-ed Organization, and the Law
Association.
Section 3. The Editor-in-chief shall
be elected by tie Iiterary Societies and
shall serve for one terim. He shall he
a senior academic or law sildent a.id
shall be directly responsible to tile Lit
erary Societies.
Section 4. The Assistant Editors
siall be elected by the Literary S(icie
ties for one tern only. Tey siall come
from the junior academic or juiiitr and
intermediate law classes.
Section 5. Tile Busniess 'Manager.
