Dignified Seniors to Wear
Derbies
(Continued from Page One)
wear derbies. You will pardon is for
mentioning the word "Senior" so many
timcs but we have waited four years to
(10 so and now we take the opportunity
which is duely ours.
A very limited supply of derbies is on
hand at the firm of Marshall-Tatum &
Co. But the number there is very limit
ed. In view of this fact Mr. John L.
liimnaugh. Jr., has ordered out a supply
of different sizes which he accommo.
datingly agrees to sell at wholesale price.
His supply will be on hand, he predicts,
by Saturday. Now this is a rare oppor
tunity to fit yourself up without an en
ormous amount of cost.
It is predicted by some, including the
"State," that a parade of some mature
will take place as soon as the entire
class is supplies with derbies. This wou!I
he very fitting and we think both agree
able and enjoyable.
A cane customarily accompanies a der
b1y. therefore, we appreciate the fact that
every senior will also swing a wicked
stick.
The senior co-eds have not yet decid
ed as to what will be their mark of dis
tinlctiont. WVe dol't suippose it will be a
derby. Irobably it will he a came. Anv
way, watch them for they\ are also mem
hers of the class o,f '24.
And we thank you.
MINNOW.

Five O'clock Tea
Thursday evening between five a,nd six
o'clock the vives of the professors serv
ed tea and cakes to the students at Flitn
hall. It was very informal; the students
dropped in. chatted with the professors
and their wives, and left when they were
ready. The reporter for the GAmcoCK
wont down to write it up but got side
tracked on the cakes. The idea of this
tea originated with Mr. Bell and we
thank him for it.
