Esthetic Dance Studio Opened by
Collins
"Bill" Collins, known better as
"Perfesser" Collins, has opened his
dancing studio in LeConte College
and is now prepared to give instruc
tions to those who desire to enroll
under him for his courses. As as
sistants he has secured "Country"
Laney and "Fletch" Fairy, who are
specialists in the latest esthetic
dances. Both of them have recently
returned from the City of Paris
where the)' have been taking lessons
from the greatest Parisian dancing
masters. Courses will be given in
other dances besides those in esthe
tic. "Perfesser" says that anyone
can be taught to dance in five min
utes by his methods, and if those
who take courses under him and his
assistants are not satisfied he will
refund the twition fee. These
courses will be very interesting as
well as instructive to all who take
them.
Boll Weevil Exterminator
Invented
A great invention has been per
fected, one of the greatest since the
self-binder and telephone. What is
it and )) whom invented ? It is a
boll weevil exterminator and the in
ventors are "Bill" Coker and "Ted"
Cogeshall. T'lhese gentlemen have
been working oi the problem of
finding some method to kill Mr. Boll
WNeevil for several years and at last
their earnest efforts have been re
warded. The exact nature of the
machine is too technical to be ex
plained, but anyone desiring to ob
serve it operate may do so any eve
ning this week. Farmers are flock
ing to the University campus from
all sections of the South and they
are entirely convinced that their
great problem has at last been
solved.
A factory for manufacturing the
device will soon he in operation. It
is expected that the output of thes.
machines will be 5000 per day. A
corps of salesmen lave already been
sent out to sell the machines
throughout the cotton belt. \ Ir.
Tol)" James has been appointed
manager of the sales department,
andi he reports that it will he ill
possible to fill the great volume of
orders for years to come with tile
'factory running night and day.
In recognition of the great service
rcndered to the farmer by Cogseball
and Coker the University has be
stowed uponl them the following de
gres: A. B., A. M., LLTB., PhD . and
LLDJ., etc.
