Tiger aggregat.ion must be accorded
a place in the sun, for it was his toe
that was responsible for the victory.

tude, and his running in returning punts
was one of the spectacular perform
ances of the (lay. "Iull" I,ightsey was
uindoubtedly the life and mainstay of
of the Clemson line, and played a won
derful defensive game.
The statistics of the game are amaz
ing in view of the result. Carolina
made eleveii frst downs to four for
Clemson, and gained 221 yards to 138
for the winiers. Snipes outpllited
the Tiger booters by about one or two
yards on every kick lie averaged 45
yards throughout the etitire game.
The passing laurels go to the Junga
leers; although their long ones were
not successful, the short passes after
all decided the game. Carolina tried
very few passes.
