Each little guest was brought
0 the "Y" chapel by his partic
iar "big brother" or "big sis
er" where a Christmas tree had
een attractively arranged with
oys, fruit and candy for each
-hid. It made our hearts rejoice
o see the little faces shining with
,ireat expectation and hear the
eils of joy that escaped their lit
le lips as they looked on the
m-esents that were soon to be
heirs. (Gamas had been ar
auged to precede the delivery of
lie gifts, but the little tots were
i no playing mood. When San

ived, the older folk had to lay
*side all their plans, and after
Mr. Sargent took a "snap shot"

tree, Santa proceeded to deliver
he gifts. Christmas carols were
ung, and then the "hosts" had

were presented, the foremost and

further action oil this matter and

Aluinnae are working heart and
soul for this advancement of edii
cationl for wvollien in South Caro
liia and at the University, and
in spite of all the recent reverses
to the project they Iope to get
part of it at an early date.
A motion was introduced to or
ganize a local Alumnae Club,
but considering the fact that the
constitieicy of a local organiza
tion anid that of the State would
he the saie, the motion was with
drawn. 'llere are at present no
local organizations in the State
but we hope that co-education
will so develop aniid increase that
this step imlay be m11ade possible in
the near future.
