EUPHRADIAN SOCIETY On last Friday night the Eu phradian Literary Society held its regular meeting. ()ne niew member was elected and iiiitiated into the society. CLARIOSOPHIC SOCIETY The regular meeting of the Clariosophic Literary Society was held hist Friday night with a good attendance. On account of the absence of the presidenit aid vice-president the chair was taken by the secretar'y, J ilian Cave. As this was the night for the inauguration of the new officers Mr. Cave stated that no exaugu ral address had been left by Mr. LeightseY, the outgoing president, and called Mr. W. .1. Gaines. the new president to take tihe chair. In his inaugural a(ldress Mr. Gaines stressed the imliportanlce of a diginifiel, scholarly an( busi nesslike atiosphere in the meet ings of the .'oviety. li urging greater effort oil those placed on the program lie reminded his hearers that the literary society functions successfully onlyv when it aids inl the iitellectuial develop menit of its menmbers.
