Furman's enrollment for the
present session is to (late 404.
This number represents practieal
lv twice the enrollment of the
1918-19 session, when it was 205.
Upper classmnen will find food
for thought inl the following:
"Why ldont all the freshmen
wear their little blue caps?
"Te reare a gooi many caps
to be seen On the camipus an(1 also
there are a good many freshmen
to he seen without caps. The writ
er knows several f.reshmen who
have caps but refuse to wear them.
Moral perstasion doesn't seem to
have any effect on them. An old
institution like the freshmen caps
ought to be observed and kept up1)
in the school for it shows school
spirit.
"Better a return to the custom
of using a horizontal barrel awl
little short wooden persuladers
than to let about half the fresh
men go without wearing the caps.

Another Cabal.
Tfhursda.y the third was another
b lannier night in the history of the
Moot Court. The greatest crowd
ever wvitnessed1 at these meetings
turned out to hear the rival of the
mighty Marlowe, J. Horowitz.
Nort for many a day has the law
association been able to have the
opportunity of hearing such a
brilliant speaker as the said J.
Horowitz. le is destined to be
one of the best lawyers ever turn
ed loose from the University. His
colleague Mr. Ilorenbein deserves
honorable mention. His prepara
tion of the case for trial was little
short of marvelous. The opposing
side was taken care of by Messrs.
Cantwell and looks. Mr. Cant
well inl his usual steady way, pre
pared his case thoroughly and
execited it well balanced argu
ment. Mr. Hooks helped material
Iv in the execution. The Chief Jus

Townsend surprised everybody by
giving the decision to tie plain
tiffs represented by Cantwell anld
