Locals Roderick Macdonald, '19, was a visitor on the campus last Sunday. Mr. 0. S. Ulmer spent last week-end in Hartsville for private reasons. Mr. Stuart Connor, a member of the freshmen class, spent the week end at his home in St. George. J. H. Martin, '18, H. C. Bear ly, '17 and Wesley Wilks, '17 are teaching in the Colunmbia High School. Lieut. W. D. Dickey, an old Carolina man, who has seen more than twenty-eight months of service with the 816th pion eer infantry in Europe and who has just received his discharge from the army, has returned to the University to take senior law. A large number of old Car olina men have been present at our football games. We are glad to see them and hope they will continue to come as it make things seem like old times again to have them with us. Lieut. Jack Edens has re turned to resume his courses in the law school. Co-Ed Association Elects Officers The first meeting of the Co Ed Association was held last Friday morning, at which of ficers were elected for the year. Miss Shirley Black was chosen president; Miss Dorothy Vaughan, vice president, and Miss Bessie Taylor, secretary and treasurer. Girls Gym Class Meets The Girls' Gym class met for the first time on Thursday aft ernoon to enroll members and to make plans for the work that will be carried on during the year. Eighteen girls have al ready joined the class -and more will probably jci,, in the next few days. Besides the regular gym work, Mr. Van Meter is plan ning to have a first-class basket ball teanm, which will play neighboring teams. It is the hope of Mr. Van. Meter and all the Co-eds that this year's class will be larger and better than ever before.
