FLORENCE HIGH SCH State Champ HOME ECONOMICS WORK OUTLINED IN BULLETIN Folder Outlines Plan for Com munity Forum. "Home Economics at the Uni versity of Arkansas," is the title of a bulletin which has just been issued by the department of home economics of the Uni versity. The bulletin was pre pared especially for high school girls who are interested in the study of. home economics, and tells of opportunities for women prepared in this vocation to se cure positions in teaching, ex tension work, dietetian's work, research work, newspaper work, and lecturing and demonstrat ing. The courses offered also prepare for homemaking. The bulletin outlines the courses offered by the University in home economics and tells of the practical work done in the practice cottage in which the junior and senior girls live for a part of the year. There are eight cuts, showing the labor atories, girls' dormitory, and in terior and exterior views of the practice cottage. Copies of the bulletin may be secured upon ap plication to the Registrar, Uni versity of Arkansas, Fayette ville. The General Extension Divi sion of the University of Ar kansas has just issued a folder which contains an explanation and plan for organization of a Community Forum. "The pur pose of a Community Forum," says the circular, "is to keep the citizens of the community in formed on current questions so that they may discuss them free ly and frankly, and be able to pass an intelligent opinion on the.m." The circular tells just how to organize and carry on a forum, and it is suggested that club wo men take the matter up in their home towns. It also gives a list of publications which may be secured from the Superintend ent of Public Documents, Wash ington, D. C. Many bulletins on the League of Nations, the War Cngress OOL FOOTBALL TEAM ions for 1918 America's War Aims and Peace Program, etc., are available and will be sent to interested or ganizations or individuals upon application to the General Ex tension Division.
