CO-ED DEPARTMENT
"0 woman, in her howrs of ease,
E.reeding roy anid hard to please."
On Thursday. April sixth, the
women students entertained the
senior class at an informal re
ception. The house was deco
rated in dogwood and yellow
jessamine, with the exception of
one room where the color scheme
of garnet and black was carried
out with pennants, cushions, and
college pictures. Punch and
candy were served during the
evening, followed by cake and
cream. Quite a number were
present and enjoyed the evening.
At the last meeting of the
Hypatian Society, Miss Henrietta
Covington was elected validic
torian and Miss Eva Seawright
junior orator.
It has been decided that in
stead of taking part in the
Shakespearian pageant as a group
of dancers the girls will take the
wvomen's parts in the various
plays given by the University.
