Mr.. Fred F. Rindge of New
York one of the International
Secretaries of the Y. M. C. A.
in the industrial department
completed a series of lectures in
Columbia Sunday.
Mr. Rindge lectured in chapel
Friday mornning, and to the stu
dents of the Engineering Socie
ty at 12 o'clock the same day.
Saturday evening a Dutch sup
per was served to about thirty
Carolina students in the city Y.
M. C. A. building. Mr. Rindge
outlined the work that it was his
purpose to organize here. As a
result a class of about twenty
fine Greeks had its first lesson
Sunday night at nine o'clock.
Other classes will be started
soon.
Several students volunteered
to conduct these classes, which
will meet twice each week. Sim
iliar work is being carried on by
students in colleges and univer
sities over the entire country.
Mr. Rindge said that over two
thousand students are engaged
in this kind of work at present
in the United States.
Cabinet Officers.
The members of the Y. M. C.
A. cabinet were selected last
week. The following is a list of
those who will have charge of
the Y. M. C. A. work next yearl
in connection with Mr. E. S.

Glee Club Concert.
The Glee Club will give a con
cert in chapel next Tuesday,
March 28th. A scene in German
student life will be one feature:
of the program.
The public is invited, but re
member there will be a small
admission fee.
T. M. Jones, a member of TIHE
GAMECOCK staff has been absent
from college for several days on
account of the death of his
father, Capt. Allen Jones, of
Columbia.
