There was a large attendance. and much in terest in the appellate Case, ar gued before Chief Justice John P. Thomas, Jr. The meeting for this week will be Thursday night at 7:45, when an appeal will be made in the case of Roberts vs Union Trac tion Company, before Chief Jus tice E. Marion Rucker and As sociate Justices Felder and Cur tis. The attorneys for plantiff are .J. L. Love and R. B. Jen nings, and Wallace and Wingo will appear for the defendant. The clerk, J. F. Davis. has a number of interesting cases pre pared for this term. STUDENT HURT BY AUTOMOBILE Mr. T. B. Harton met with a serious accident last week, while on a cross-country run. He was struck by an automobile in cross-. ing Saluda Street in Wales Gar den. Mr. Horton sustained a broken leg and a broken arm, I with several painful bruises. Mr. Horton is a member of the freshman class. Thursday af ternoon a section of the gymna sium cla,-;s was taking a hike, and as they crossed Wales Gar Mr. Horton was run down by an: automobile. Several others were I with him at the time, but none seem to know just how the acci dent occurred. The friends of Mr. Horton wish him a speedy recovery. He is reported to be getting along nicely. Date Cancelled. Lewis S. Gannett of Harvard has wired that due to numerous engagements, and railroad sched ule, he could not come to the University Thtursday. A date will be arranged sometime' in March.
