FRIDAY AFTERNOON After the medals were award ed, Mr. Frank E. Broyles, win ner of last year's essay medal gave a short talk on his chosen field, the short essay. Amend ments to the con ;titution of mi nor import were then adopted. Spartanburg was chosen as the next meeting place, and the busi ness meetings of the ninth an nual South Carolina Press Asso ciation were over. THnE SOCIA L. From five to six o'clock a re ception was tendered the dele gates and a few friends at Columbia College. It is regret ted that the disagreeable weather prevented some from attending this pleasant affair. The grand finale of the convention was the banquet Friday night at the Jei'' er:on Hotel.
