Western Part of State.
The Glee Club leaves Monday
for the first trip of the season.
They will perform at Laurens on
Monday, Greenwood (Bailey Mil

and Union on Thursday.
The Glee Club this year prom
ises to be the best that Carolina
has ever turned out. The majori

back and there are several new
men who are making good. Any
one who sees the attractive pos
ters advertising the club will be
convinced that it must be an ex
ceptionally good one.
President Reeves says that the
Glee Club on this first trip will be
composed of the following: Wilds,
Paul, Perkins, Stoney, Rudisill,
W., Rudisill, F,, Green, Carpen
ter, Reeves, and the orchestra.
Carolina's Glee Club has a State
wide reputation and a very sue
cessful trip is anticipated. Sev
eral trips into other parts of the
State are being arranged by the
manager.

Strong Methodist Team.
Tonight in the gymnasium

expected. Brooker, Poole and
Hanahan will probably be back
in the game.

C. F. W. RECEPTION
Pleasant Social Event of the
Year.
The annual faculty reception
of the College for Women, given
on last Moeday night, was very
largely attended by the Universi
ty men. This is always one of
the most notable and pleasant so
cial events of the year and the
reception onlMonday night lacked
none of the charm of the usual
College for Women affairs. The
guests were received at the door
by Miss McClintock and intro
duced to the faculty, who were
in the receiving line. Miss Mar
garet Anderson and Miss Eliza
beth Finley acted as committee on
introduction. Refreshments of ice
cream, cake, and coffee were
served later.
