CAROLINA TAKES TWO OUT OF THREE GAMES Carolina Ends Season by Taking Series From Tenn.-The Stars in the Three Games. Carolina ended a not altogether successful season by taking two out of three games from the University of Tennessee. Carolina won the first two games in great style and made a hard fight for the third. However, Tennessee had a strong team and it took a bunch of good playing to win two games. , The Carolina team ended the season well and, although it lost the majority of the games played, nevertheless it cjc played great ball and with an even break of luck the tale would have been different. The features of the first game ea were the pitching and batting af 3 both Williams and Pritchett, the all-round work of VonKolnitz and the hitting of. Metts, who broke up the game with a stinging two-bagger to right. In the second game, "Reddy" Metts again came into the limelight, this time with a smashing-two-bag ger to le.t when the bases were full. Oglesby hit the pill safely twice out of three times up. DuBose pitched his best ganle of the season, allow ing- only four measley hits and he was there with the control. In the third game Tommie Mc Millan played great ball at short and hit well. Bill McGowan was there with the goods, smashing out a two bagger and a single. Oglesby stole bases like an old head in the crim inal line. He stole not less than five in number, two of them being third. VonKolnitz caught a good game and secured two hits out of five times up. The box scores tell a tale of three good games.
