CAROLINA DOWNS
WOFFORD COLLEGE
Fast and Hard-Fought Basket Ball
Game Went to Gamecocks by
Score of 27 to 26-Line-Up.
Carolina won froin Wofford in
a fast game of basket ball last Tues
day evening. The teams were evenly
matched, the score being 27 to 26.
The outlook, from the beginning,
would have led one to predict that,
as in several of the previous games,
the Gamecocks were doomed to
another tie. But Carolina gained
the decisive point before the end of
the first half. Throughout the game
imany foul plays were made by both
teams, especially in throwing goals
%: from fouls.
Every man did fine wvork and the
cj game throughout was a hard-fought
' struggle.
The line-up:
Wofford, 26. Carolina, 27.
