CAMPUSGRAMS The Euphradian society (lid not meet last Saturday night owing to trouble with the lights. Tihe pro grammes will be shifted forward one week, making those on duty last week be on tonight. A report was read after chapel Monday morning by Broadus Mitchell, from the committee ap pointed to wind up the affairs of the 1908 Garnet and Black. The report was accepted by the student body and the committee freed from fur ther duties. Those on the commit tee wvere: -1. G. Officer, P. L. Vright, R. F. Bradley. The student bodv instructed A. H. \Villiams, president, to appoint a new commit tee to finish the Winding up. "Bill" Rector, of the class of '07 and now in the Philippines, sent in his subscription for THE GAMECOCK recently. The moving pictures of Columbia shown in the theatre Vednesday and Thursday of this week were particularly good. Especially so were those of the student body at Carolina. The first view was a little dim, but the last two showed up the students and buildings to a decided advantage. When you think show, think Lyric. A picture of the student body for the 1912 Garnet and Black was to have been taken on last Monday morning on the gymnasium steps. Owing to the few that turned out to have their countenances snapped, it was postponed until the coming Monday. It is hoped that every uni versity man will respond to the call. A picture of the class of 1913 was taken last Monday after chapel. The Juniors gathered on the gym nasium steps. A majority of the class was present. Sidney J. Cohen of the class of io was on the campus Tuesday. ie has been doing newspaper work in the North of late. At a recent meeting of the State Fair Society, W. A. Metts of Co lumbia, fat her of Reddy Metts, pro p)osedl that the University of South Carolina andl Clemson be allowed the use of the football field on Thursday of the fair gratis. TIhe motion was lost, but the student body recognized Mr. Metts' effort to help them b)y passing a vote of thanks. W. A. Wherry of Lewvis' Turn out has retired from college, on advice' of his physician. He will probably return after Xmas. Five men were nominated by the student body last Monday morning to be placed before the advisory board as candidates for manager of next year's football team. The men were: C. The Lyric: The show downtown. Delightful Dance at University Gym nasium. On Tuesday night an informal dance was given under the anspices of the German Club at the Univer sity gymnasium. About sixteen coup)les danced awvay three short hours, and enjoyed one of the most dlelightful little events of the fall season. Tlhe University orchestra, of six pieces, furnished the music. The orchestra is fast developing into a sp)lendlid musical organization, and p)leasedl the trippers of the light fan tastic much with their numbers. County Papers Are Wanteu. All students from those counties wvhose county papers are not being sent to Flinn Hall, are requested to get. together and write to the editors of the various papers asking them to send their journalsto Fi.,, all Should this request to the editors not meet with a prompt response those interested are urged to club together and subscribe to their papers, so as to insure their regular daily, weekly or semi-weekly visits to Flinn Hall./ The purpose is to have every rdwspaper in the State coming regularly to Flinn Hall.
