work of the organization is under
the direct supervision of the advis
ory board: Messrs. William H.
Scott, chalirman; D. H. Ramsey,

Carolina had the idea of the
movement, as it is now being put
into operation throughout the coun

such a league in the Old Dominion.
When the latter was advised of the
larger scheme she readily acceded to
becoming co-partner in the work.
The two institutions constitute the
league headquarters.

Measday, assistant secretary to the
governor, writes: "Permit me per
sonally to say that the movement
you are inaugurating would seem to
possess5 possibilities of great good
for Governor Wilson's candidacy.
I am quite sure that if he were here
he would direct me to send you his
most sincere thanks."
