ALL IN READINESS FOR TOMORROW'S GAME The Games So Far-The Players and Something About Their Work. The great Clemson-Carolina game is almost here. and the hurry and bustle of opinions and judgments is rife on the campus and in the city of Columbia. There are always a thousand and one things to be done incident to preparation for this greatest struggle of the year, and the management of the Gamecocks OHUROJH (CRIP) WrITNER,. GAMECOCKS MEE' TIC The Battle of the Year to Be Calculations on Result Highest Pitch 'When the referee's whistle blows at eleven o'clock Thursday morning Carolina will meet her ancient rival, Clemson, once again. This time the conditions are changed a great deal, for Carolina should win; that is judging from the past performantes of the two teams this season. Georgia defeated Caro lina 38 to o, but when we remember that Georgia also defeated Sewanee this defeat is not so bad. In her next games Carolina defeated the Cl!ege of Charleston, T6 to o, and when she met Florida the score at the end of the game was a tie, 6 to 6, in one of the hardest fought games that has ever been seen on Davis field. Clemson Not So Successful. On the other hand, Clemson has not been as victorious as she usually is. In her first game, Auburn de feated the Purple and Gold lads by a large score with a zero for Clem son. The following two games, MANAGERS' STATEMENT OF ARRANGEMENTS The managers of the teams intend to have the grounds in better condi tion than heretofore. Whereas in the past the weeds have been mowed, thus leaving shar) stalks which in jure the players, the weeds will be pulled up. All hard substances will be removed also. Tickets to the game will be placed on sale up street in order that the rush at the office at the grounds will not be so crowded. Particularly noticeable will be the absence of all persons not author ized on the side lines. The grounds will be well policed and )crfect order will be kept with out fear or favor to any one. Carolina's squad will go out in busses about 10:15 on Thursday Imorning, arriving about 10 :40. Everything essential to the com fort of the Gameccocks will be clone b)eforehlanld. As a special request we ask that no one crowd around the men between the halves. Nothing that would be detrimental to our chances of winning the game will be b)rooked for a second. A. G. T ERS TOMORROW Fought on Fair Grounds Grid. -Both Teams Keyed to -Some Force. with Howard College of Birming ham and the University of Florida, resulted in a victory for the Tiger in the first, 15 to o, but Florida pulled down Clemson's colors, carrying off the larger end of a 6 to 5 score. Comparative 'Scores. By comparing these scores, al though relative scores do not count for much, everything points to a Carolina victory. Even old Clem son men are trembling with the fear that Carolina will repeat her famous victory of 1902. . With John Shakespere Hoey, the noted cheer leader, at the head of the rooters, there will be nothing amiss in the cheering line. As he has said, "We have out yelled thein once, and we can do it again." With this kind of spirit in the student body and rooting as wve did in the memorable game of 1909, there is "no chance" for the Tiger to feast on the Game cock.
