The next issue of Till, G\AMEcocK
promises to be of unusual uniqueness
and interest. Exactly 75 per cent. of
its space will be devoted to the Work
that is being done by the Y. 2I\. C. A.,
and we can feel certain that the asso
ciation will put out a good issue.
Our rooting last Monday may by
some be termeld the best we have had
this vear. and from the amount of
noise made and eithusiasm displayed
it was excellent ; but we regret the
spirit that in a few instances prompted
the yells. When Davidson l)layed A.
& M. last veek their regular catcher
was disabled in the ninth inning, Cauls
in' them to lose the game. When
tley, came here to meet our team in a
friendly spirit of rivalry their only
substitute for this positioll was a
freshman who had never before in his
life caught a varsity game, and who
naturally must have been extremely
nlervous. However. this, the only
weak spot in our opponents' line
ip was picked out by our rooters to
bear the brunt of a few of our vells.
This persecntion of a single man mllay
or may not have materially aided us.

one could doubt but what our sidelilles
would have gone wild had the catcher

their work.
Some may sav that "'it is all in the

Monday afternoon ; but let our efforts
