Two New Movements. Two new movements w1hich it is hoped vill be of great interest to the studetnt body have been planned for the coming term. The first of these is to have a series of four addresses on alternate Suntday nights by prom inent speakers. This series was opened by Pres. J. -1. Harmis, of Newberry College, on last Suiday iiight. Ile gave an excellent address on "The Marks of a Man," taking as his "text" the sev eral rules of knighthood as set forth in the "ldyls of the King." It is hoped that Prof. D. V. Daniel, of Clemson College, will be the next speaker on Sunday night, February 19th. Th'lie other movement is for a Sun (lay iiight "sacred concert." The first one will be given on the evening of February l2th. in Flini Hall, at 7:15. The program is in charge of Mrs. Twitchell and Messrs. Black and1 Blake, and wc can assure a treat to all wlho come. It goes without saying that everybody is iiivited and that everybody is welcome. In February. Here is a pretty quibble from the new edition of "Logic for the Millim," wlhich Harper Knowlson has prepared: David said in his wrath, all men are liars. Tlherefore, David was a liar. Therefore, what David said was not true. Therefore, D)avid wvas not a liar. But if D)avid was not a liar, what he saidl was true-namely, that all men are liars.-Ex. (New York Globe). The Substitute.
