?Recently, military|companies have
been organized in several olaces
where there have been no such companies
for several years. The people
have realized the necessity of having
such companies and within the

have been formed. It is hoped that
early in the new year the Gordon
Light Infantry will be re-organized
and that those who are auxions to
revive tbis company will carry out
their wishes. The entire town would
be glad to see the Gordons re-organized,
for the old company was one of
which the people had every reason to
feel proud and there is plenty of good
material here to form another "fine
company. We hope that Capt. Jordan
will in 1899 bring the Gordan Light
Infantry to life again.
