A Homicide Neak Town. ?William
lilair and Alfreil Ifobinson, both colored,
were pla\ in?f cards at the Ilorlbeck
place, about three miles from
town, on Fridayut dinnertime. Alfred
Robinson was winning William Blair's
money. Robinson wanted to quit the
game as he ws.s ahead, tut Blair objected
to his leaving, and on Robinson's
gcttimr up to leave the game Blair
drew a pistol ami find two shots, hitting
Robinson in the head jiint above
tin; eye, killing him instantly. The
Sherifl' was notified and :i warrant
issued, and the SIkmUT at once went lo
the scene of ilie murder. IJlair left at
once, but tlie Sheriff is right behind

has killed three hogs weighing net
