The question of disestiblishmeut
continues to be discussed in England,
and notices of three distinct motions
ou the subject have been placed on the
notice book of the House of Commons
for the next session. Mr. Kichard will
move that the Church of England is in
jurious to the political and religious in
terests of the uation, and ought to be
no longer maintained. Mr. Dilhvyn
will move that the Church of England
in Wales is an anomaly and an injus
tice which ought no longer to exist.
And Mr. Peddic will move that the
maintenance of the Church Establish
ment in Scotland is indefensible on
public grounds, and that a measure
for the disestablishment and disendow-
ment ofThat church should bo passed
at w early period.
The New York Herald says of the

have been playing a double game with
