V., was held in the Town Hall at 11 o’clock on Wednesday last. After reading the minutes of the last meeting an election was helrl for officers for the ensuing year, ami all of the old officers were elected. Op motion a committee con sisting of Messrs. II. A. Gaiftard, W. H. Kerr and J. D. Robertson was ap pointed to prepare suitable resolutions in regard to the death of the late S. U. Fiuft. T'here being no other business before the meeting, tho Association adjourned to meet in the Town Hall on July 11th, 1833. RF.rouTED Ho.micidk.—The corres pondent oT the S’ews anti Courier, Writing from Columbia, April 12, says: It is reported tliat yesterday at Kil- 1 kin’s Station on the Charlotte, Columbia & Augusta Railroad, on the arrival of the up train leaving here at 3.30 p. m., J. W. Brown, of Doko, and Jim Lorick, of Kil lian’s, got into a difficulty and drew knives on eachptfapr. They were in a caboose or box car. Lorick struck at Brown, who was either pushed out or fell to the gfound, injuring his back. He was taken to Doko on the train, and a physician summoned, but he died this mottling of {lie injury to his spine. Lorick remained at Killian’s. Sheriff McCarley informs us that when he passed by Doko on his way from Columbia on Thursday, lie learned that Mr. Brow "was better.
