Every young high school student should look well to his physical .:an dition, his personal appearance and his manners, as this has much to do with his success in life. Unless a man has good health, pleasant man ners and a neat appearance, %,e is not likely to succeed. In these practical times high students are apt to regard theirl studies as necessary or as unneces sary evils to be avoided. They are making a 'great mistake. The thing' that the world needs now more than anything else is men and women with clear-thinking brains. Unless we begin now'to train our brains to think clearly and practically, we will not be able to accomplish this when we are older. Now is the time, boys I and girls, to prepare for that great er work, in order to be successful in any vocation. - STATE CONTEST. This reception is an annual affair and one looked forward to. We are pure we will all have a good time. STATE TRACK MEET. The State high school track meet! was held in Columbia on April 28th. Mt. Zion was well represented by Sabie and William Cathcart with their coach, Mr. M. M. Stewart. William made the crowd take notice when he tied for second place in the high school jump, jumping 5 feet, 4 inches. We are very proud of Wil liam Wnd Sabie, and are sure they will make a record in college.
