ie fatal termination of the ill

as apparent:y in perfect health

severe shock to her loving kins

roughout the city.
M, s. Wallace was. the widow of
e late gallant Col. William

>me she bed occupied and made
attractive for over two decades.
e was a daughter of Dr. David
arper Means and Fannie M.
lter, the last of their 11 chil
en to survive, and on both sides
is descended from a long line
orou;hly identified with the
story of the State. On the
.terual side she was the niece:
Gov. John H. Means and the
v. Robert Means. On the
ternal side she was the niece
Col. Wm. C. Preston, of
iancellor Willian , Harper,
vid Gambrill, governor of
issouri, and Edwin Bates, who
is attorney general of Missouri.
rs. Wallace was born on Sept.
, 1835, at the old Means home
ad in Fairfield county, and on
arch 10, 1859, was married to
r. John Glover Mobley of the
me county. On Dec. 21, 1876,
ving been left a widow with

aen the end came. Other surviv
g close relatives living in this
by are Mrs. Sadler Gillespie
d Mrs. T. M. DuBose, nieces;

Means and Mr. H'agood Means.
Mrs. Wallace was from her
rlhood a devoted member of
e Presbyterian church. With
r nature was most generous,

happiness of her loved ones.
3ver did she turri a deaf ear to
appeal of the pior or the

ye her. She buiid' her greatest
easure in scattering roses on
pathway of the lives of those
ound her; she was the soul of
