Pronunication.
The following rather curious
piece of composition was placed

every word correctly. The book
was not carried off, as twelve
was the lowest number of mis

having exhausted his finances in
order to make good the deficit,
reselved to ally himself to a
comely, lenient and docile young
lady of the Malay or Caucasian
race. He accordingly purchased a
caliope and coral necklace of a
chameleon hue and securing a
suite of rooms at a principal hotel
he engaged the head waiter as
his coadjutor. He then dispat<hed
a letter of the most unex.ceptional
calligraphy extant<inviting the
young lady to a matinee. She
revolted at the idea, refused to
consider herself sacrificable to
his desires and sent a polite note
of refusal, on receiving which he
procured a carbine and bowie
knife, said he would not now
forge letters hymneneal with the
queen and went to an isolated
spot, severed his jugular vein
and discharged the contents of
the carbine into his abdomen.
The debris was removed by the
coroner."

Chamberlain's Cough Remedy the
Mother's Favorite.
The soothing and healing properties
of this remedy, its pleasant taste and
prompt and permanent cures have
made it a favorite with people every
where. It is especially priaed by
mothers of small children, for colds,
croup and whoo ping cough, as it always
affords quick relief, and as it contains
no opium or other harmful drug, it may
be given as confidently to a baby as to
an adult. For sale by Obear Drug Co.
is It Right?
Is it right that a property
owner should lose $4.20 to let a
dealer make 50 cents? A dealer
makes 50 cents more on fourteen
gallons of ready-to-use paint, at
$1.50 per gallon, than our agent
does on eight gallons of L. & M.
paint and six gallons of linseed
oil, which make fourteen gallons
of the best paint in the world, at
$1.20 per gallon; the property
owner loses just $4.20. Is it
right?
It only requires 4 gallons of
L. & M. and 3 gallons linseed oil
to paint a moderate sized house.
