Taylor and his wife were going to the Greenbrier church they heard two pistol shots directly behind them. On turning around a man ran out from the bushes and shot ag'ain at the parties in the buggy that was just behind them. He then fled. An investi gation developed the fact that the woman had received a severe wound in the arm and that the man was seriously wounded, hav ing been shot in the back and leg. It is not thought that lie will live. The man who did the shooting was Walter Brice. The woman shot was Brice's wife. The man who is now in such a critical con dition is Will Moore, of Blythe wood, who seems from the cir cumstances to have superseded Brice in his wife's affections. Brice evidently meant to kill both his wife and her hover. He has come in and surrendered to the sheriff. TEACMERS' EXAflNATION.
