day night, March 12, and the demand
for seats is so terrific that it w.ll be
retained for an eight week's run, clos
ing Saturday night, April 29. Up
wards of a quarter ot a million people
representing every town in Southern
Louisiana and Mississippi will have
I seen the spectacle and tho total re- ,
? ceipts will reach a staggering total.

son is much elated'over the fact that

Orleans will play a three days' en
gagement at his playhouse beginning
May 22. There are 27 people in the
organization, which carries its own
orchestra of 18 pieces and two car
loads of special equipment. Thc
spectacle will bo presented here ex
actly as seen at the Tulane theatre
I end sinco it will 'be shown nowhere
within' a 50 miles of Anderson, it will
probably attract record crowds. As
the roads are in good condition at
this season the local engagement
will bring "The Birth of a Nation"
within the reach of every automobile
owner within a wido radius of this
city.
