Columbia, 'April 12,-du celebra tion of tho Tercentenary of the death of William Shnkefrpearo, the Univer sity of South Carolina is preparing to present on its campus and at the Co.'umbhi theatre an enormous pag eant, April 25, 1916, in which it is es timated that 2,000 people will take part and 5000 more witness. Co operating with tho University in the presentation are Chtcorn college for Women, Columbia college, and the city schools, (both public and private. Thc first part cf the .pageant in the afternoon on the University campus will present a typical May Day scene on the outskirts of London In the trme of Queen Elizabeth. Mingling with merrymakers in their ancient lingi it h sports will <be tho great queen and her retinue, tho May Queen and her court, dignified re presentatives of the great trade guilds of London. Robin Hood and his Mer ry Men, and a small group of the lit erary celebrities of the day among whom -will be Shakespeare himself.
