unanimously adopted expressing their

meeting of this club and at said
meeting agreed ?to.cooperate with thc
people In the country and the mem
bers of this club In providing for a
well graded entrance Into the city
of Anderson on tho Willlamston high
way by building a culvert on Dick
ens street and grading down tho bills
and building fills.
And, WV.ereas, On tho following day
the city council met in special session
about another matter and at this
meeting the culvert and improve
ments wore '.uthori/.ed and tho work
actually . commenced two days later
and promptly completed.
And,.Whereas, We appreciate the
spirit of tlie' mayor and aldermen
which led them to agree to mnlro these
improvements foi our benofit and the
boneflt of the people- generally trav
elling this highway, and also thc re
markable proraptness,i:pf the. mayor
and aldermen in .authorizing fend mah-'
lng these improvements.,
Now, Therefore, Be it resolved,
First, That our-,-most hearty thanks

men of the-city ol' Anderson and to
City Engineer W. A. Sanders for the
prompt authorization and completion
of these improvements which will be
of great - benefit to - ourselves and
others from ttee country and else
