county waa held yesterday afternoon
and! evening at the St. John's church.
Tlie conference was a great success,
largo crowds being present at both
sessions and the speeches especially
intvicsting and entertaining.

ference was not decided on, but tho
election of oHieers was held, Hov. D.
W. Dodge was chosen as president
for Die coming year and Mr.'Samuel
L. Prince wa? elec?ed secretary of thc
district. Tliia meeting was ot thc
fiftli district of Anderson ivmnty.
Tho afternoon session was opened
by a iprayor and praiso service led
by Dr. W. II. Frazer, pastor cf che
First Presbyterian church of this city.
Thia servir?- was followed by- an ad
dress by Ufe president of Um district,
ev. D. W. Dodge who made'his talk
on tho purpose ot the district organi
zation. '
Dr. A. L.Smetiiers made a short
talk, on the ten banner Sunday school
points.y "
Statistical reports from delegates to
tho conference wore very satisfactory
and made an excellent snowing for
the ipast year's work.
Five minute tulka by members of
tho Sunday schools, teachers and
others occupied" tho next hour; These
talks were informal ouos and word
mostly bf personal experiences. Th*/

"Winning and Holding the Teens"
was the subject of Mr. Lon (.5. Palmer
seefcetary of tho Alabama State Sunday
School association. Mr. Palmor told
of how Jiard) lt was to hold a boy or
girl in their teens in tho Sunday
schools. Hhs talk was interesting and
was of great value to many of tho
Sunday school workers.
A conference on Sunday, school
problems was held by Mr.'Palmer
and Mr. II. D. Webb, state secretary.
This was another sort of oxporienco
meeting and questions pertaining to
tho work wero asked and answered.

particularly enjoyed; it being' voted
