Lyon The Gish Jeweler OLD HOTEL ENTRANCE WILL BE REMODELED AND ANOTHER ENTRANCE MADE TO LOBBY OF CHIQUOLA EIGHT OFFICES Will Be Equipped on Each Sit?e of Big Hallway, Four of Which Are Already Rented. Mr. Hob King announced yesterday tftat he and Dr. George W. Evans would have the room, where the Motel Chiquola lobby was formerly, remodeled within the next few days, both sides to be fitted un into eight citllce space, with a hallway or en trance running from West Whitncr street into the present lobby of fae hotel. The plans have been drawn by Casey and Kant, architects of this city, and work will begin within the next few days. Mr. Kijig states that this room wltl lie finished in tho same style as the new iiotel lobby, in that it will have thc oak finished wainscotting, the large shaded lights, tilo floor, etc. The hallway will be about six or seven feet wide and on each side of this entrance there will be four rooms fixed up for otllces, making a totnl of efght in all. Mr. King states that these will IK? modernly equipped wita ateaui heat, etc. Already four of t?ese of?ce rooms have been rent ed. In addition to the remodeling that is to be done on the inside, thc old front of the Hotel Chinuola will be remodeled and fixed up in first class style. Chairs will again bc placed around the entrance and West Whit ncr street along there will once more look like the same old place in that respect. A large electric sign will also bc placed at this entrance. Mr King ?tated that the new hall way would be fixed up in just as pretty style as the hew lobby and that a deep red rug would be placed from the entrance to the lobby. It will be well lighted and will add greatly to the appearance of tho building as well as to the convenience of the, hotel patrons. MEETING OF COUNTY TRUSTEES ON MONDAY HAS BEEN. CALLED BY W. A. Felton, county superintendent of education and is self explanatory: Sept. 29, 1915. Dear Trustee : The next meeting of the County Trustees association of Anderson county, will be held at Anderson, S. C.. on Monday, October 4, at 12 o'clock, and at this meeting we ex pect to talk over and discuss the plaiis for1 tho best Interest of the scion 1 of the county. These meetings are growing moro interesting as they come and we would be glad to have every trustee ot the county present if possible. This is tho beginning of the school year proper and' lt will be a good thing for us to discuss the problems of the rural school at this meeting. There will probably be some ac tion taken by tito lawmakers ot thc state this year tn regard to tho pres ent high school act and tho trus tees of the different high schools of the county are especially asked to be present at this meeting and to make known some amendments they would like to see to go into this act. September 8, with the team of the Spaxtanburg high school. Since both of these schools have a big fol lowing this >;aine will create much interest and tho attendance will be large. The Anderaon team has been going through some real hard practice for the past two weeks and the coaches state that the line-up this year will be hard to beat. The coaches aro Harton, Means aud Parks nnd all three of these men have had much experience in football. This afternoon ann tonight the Anderson high school team will share in the proceeds at thc Ander son theatre and the patrons of this theatre and of the football team are asked to bear this lu mind.
